Empower Learning Today/Introducing: The Magic Mindset

Introducing:

The Magic Mindset

(excerpt from my book, The Magic Mindset)

Thank you for either purchasing this book  and/or the accompanying video series. I truly appreciate your willingness to embark on this journey with me to unlock the power of The Magic Mindset. While this book is specifically designed for teachers and school staff, you'll discover that the principles and tools presented here will be beneficial in everyday life as well.

In a nutshell, The Magic Mindset combines over 25 years of my teaching experience with various tools from the field of neurolinguistic programming (NLP). You might wonder, what is neurolinguistic programming? For our purposes, NLP refers to how language influences behavior on a subconscious level. For more information on the subconscious mind and other powerful NLP concepts, subscribe to my YouTube channel or watch out for the free videos coming to your inbox.

In this book or video series, I will show you how to reduce stress in your teaching life while significantly boosting student achievement. Say goodbye to "problem students"! There’s no such thing when everyone likes your class. You'll be surprised at how easy it can be to build rapport with all of your students once you understand how the mind works. That’s where NLP steps in.

Now, *The Magic Mindset* didn’t stem from just my teaching experience across elementary, middle, and high school or from my college background. It wasn’t solely derived from thousands of hours of professional development or from earning additional teaching credentials. No, the main driver came from years of co-teaching alongside numerous math and reading teachers. As an inclusion teacher, I often found myself in a supporting role within mainstream classrooms, observing all the dynamics—the successes, the challenges, and the frustrations—while having limited ability to intervene. But now, I have the opportunity to share my insights with the world. Thank you again for joining me in this movement to “Make School Great Again!” Pass it on, and let’s start an education revolution!

Now, to clarify, this book and video series are not critiquing teachers in any way. In Chapter 1, you'll see the extreme pressures and stress that teachers face every single day.
Here’s a breakdown of an average classroom at any given moment:

- 25% of students will do mostly everything you ask.

- 50% of students will work to their ability with a little encouragement. They may or may not complete homework and/or catch up on missing assignments when they are absent or fall behind.

- 20% of students will be reluctant to participate.

- 5% of students will not engage at all. These students will often come in and put their heads down. Or cause problems.

Our goal is to gradually transform this scenario so that 98% of students are giving their best effort in everything you assign. You will witness a dramatic shift right from the start. It’s that lower 25% of students that will require considerable persistence, patience, and love. You’ll probably have to become their cheerleader because they probably don’t have one.

If you want to dive in immediately, feel free to skip ahead to PART 2 and dive right into the core principles right away, as it requires practice. As you go forward, take the time to read more thoroughly while you focus on developing your growth mindset, positivity, and authenticity. These are the core aspects that a teacher has to develop.
